Pay 2024: Fleet workers to strike in Edinburgh, re-ballots in other councils

Unite members in Fleet Services vote to strike over pay

Unite members in Fleet Services in Edinburgh Council have voted to take industrial action over pay. The ballot closed on Friday 5 July with 67% of members voting in favour of industrial action. These members will join those in Waste and Cleansing and Public Conveniences in Edinburgh in the fight for a fair pay deal and fair funding for councils.

Re-ballots in other councils

Unite is re-balloting Waste and Cleansing members in

  • Aberdeenshire
  • Argyll and Bute
  • Falkirk
  • Scottish Borders
  • South Lanarkshire.

The ballot opens on 15 July and closes on 29 July.

Once these ballots are closed we will announce the strike dates.

  1. £70 pound is not enough to go strike everything has went up we are walking out with less money if we strike I think it should be more than 70
